About this course

Outline Outline

This specialisation would suit engineering students who have an interest in understanding how industrial plants are designed and modelled. Students first learn about the mathematical modelling of process engineering systems using conservation equations both manually and with a variety of computer-based tools, including industry-standard simulation software. Students take advanced topics such as modelling and control, and design of energy conservation systems.

What you'll learn
  • Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of fundamental science, mathematics, data analytics, information science, sustainability principles and/or computing, GC1
  • Solve chemical engineering problems of industrial and societal significance via innovative and creative design or research, working individually or in teams, GC2
  • Select and use current and emerging technologies to develop and communicate effective and innovative chemical engineering solutions to complex problems, GC3
