About this course

Outline Outline

This Specialisation develops the student's understanding of the fundamental concepts of financial mathematics and financial economics, and how these concepts are applied in solving cashflow problems, whether certain or uncertain.

Due to the high quantitative nature of this specialisation, it is recommended that only students with a minimum ATAR of 92 select this.

Furthermore, the core mathematics units are designed for those students who have passed WACE Mathematical Applications or Mathematical Methods or equivalent. Ideally, however, students should have passed Mathematics Specialist ATAR or equivalent, with a mark of 70% or greater.
